  1. Are glass sinks simple to install?

Anyone with some basic plumbing skills can install a glass sink, although it is always easier to hire a plumber.

  3. How do you keep the shine on the sinks?

Buff the sink with black or brown shoe polish to keep the beautiful shine of your sink. No harsh abrasives are to be used. Windex and mild soap will do fine.

  4. How durable is a glass sink?

Glass sinks are very tough and durable if you treated it correctly. Normal everyday items such as brushes, combs, rings or small jewelry will not scratch or break the sink. The most common cause of breakage is improper installation.

  5. Tempered Glass is Tougher and Safer?

Although tempered glass is much stronger and more resistant to thermal shock than annealed glass, it can still break under stressful conditions. However, when tempered glass breaks it shatters into blunt pieces rather than sharp fragments like annealed glass. Because tempered glass is significantly stronger and much less likely to cause injury than annealed glass it is also called Safety glass.

  6. What are the Do's and Don'ts for my temperd glass sink?

Glass sinks are a lot more durable than you think, but precautions must be taken...

Do not attempt to fix a glass vessel sink. If a glass sink is chipped, cracked or broken, it cannot be repaired or "fixed like new." It must be replaced.

Do be concerned about wide differences in temperatures. For example, if you are installing your glass vessel sink outdoors, don't pour very hot water into it on a very cold day.

Do not allow the sink to come in contact with steel or other glass objects which could scratch or chip the surface.

Do not pour boiling water directly into the sink. Doing so may cause the sink to crack or shatter.

Do wipe the sink dry after every use to prevent water spots.

  7. What do I use to clean the sink?

Use a soft tablecloth with water and soap, glass cleaner, or any other non-abrasive cleaner to clean the sink without scratching the shiny surface of the glass.

You may use vinegar to remove hard water spots on the sink.

  9. What is Tempered/Toughened/Safety Glass?

Our glass sinks are made from durable tough tempered glass, also known as toughened glass or safety glass. Tempered glass is a heat processed glass produced by heating annealed glass to approximately 650 degrees at which point it begins to soften. The surfaces of this heated glass are then cooled rapidly with high velocity blasts of air. The result is a tougher glass that can withstand greater amounts of stress without breakage.

  10. What is the difference between a "Vessel", a "Drop In", an "Over

Vessel Sinks - Sinks that sit on top of a surface. They can also be pedestal mounted,
counter mounted, suspended in a base, half mounted or they can function as a "Drop In".

Drop In/Partial Mount Sinks - Sinks that are usually set into a pre-cut counter top either
    partially or completely.

Over Mount Sinks - Sink also referred to as "Rimmed Sinks", are designed to be "set in" to
    the counter top.

Under Mounted Sinks - Sinks that are mounted beneath the counter surface
